8pm  DJ Party at La Yuca
Israeli DJ Guy Gerber and Polish-American DJ Magda will perform at La Yuca 1 December at 8pm. Both are considered to be two of the most talented in the world and will be bought to the DR by the beer company The One. Ball Hockey Tournament
Sun Village Resort & Spa will be hosting the first-ever Ball Hockey Tournament at Cofresi, Puerto Plata from 1-8 December 2007 in partnership with The National Hockey League Alumni Association. On 7 December the popular Mexican singer Belinda will perform at the Palacio de los Deportes in Santo Domingo. The concert begins at 8pm and is part of the singer's "Utopia Tour 2007". Tickets are RD$300 General, RD$500 Lower level seating,
RD$1,000 VIP, and RD$2, 000 Special Guest.

8:30pm  Chayanne in Santo Domingo
Puerto Rican superstar Chayanne has included a 17 September date in Santo Domingo as part of his 100-city 2007 world tour. The pop/salsa singer known for his energetic dance numbers and power ballads will be performing at the Palacio de los Deportes of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center. Three of Chayanne's albums have debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart in the past five years. The Mi Tiempo album promotional tour includes concerts in Latin America and Spain. Codetel is sponsoring a promotion and tickets are for sale at the Torre Cristal, Bella Vista Mall, Megacentro and Santiago. Tickets are expected to sell out fast at the venue.

8pm  Christmas Party in the Capital
Puerto Rican singing sensation Luis Fonsi, along with Fonseca, Zion and Ivy Queen will head "Christmas Party" 15 December in the Parque de Sema on Luperon Avenue at 8pm. Daddy Yankee at the Estadio Olimpico
World famous Puerto Rican Reggeaton artist Daddy Yankee will return to the Dominican Republic for a concert 22 December at the Estadio Olimpico in Santo Domingo. Concert times and ticket information have yet to be confirmed.
           

Feb, 2-8/08 
Caribbean World Series
Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic will meet for some of the best of baseball in the Caribbean Championships set for Santiago de los Caballeros, hometown of the Aguilas Cibaenas, champions of the 2007 series held in Puerto Rico.

Alejandro Fernandez in Concert
Mexico's Alejandro Fernandez is booked for two concerts in the DR on occasion of promoting his recent CD, "Viento a favor." He will perform on 15 February 2008 at the National Theater in Santo Domingo and on 16 February at the Cibao Theater in Santiago.

8:30pm  Sin Bandera in Santo Domingo
Described as the most important twosome in Spain and Latin America, the Sin Bandera duo, Leonel and Noel, will perform on Friday, 29 February 2008 at 8:30pm at the Palacio de los Deportes. They are on tour promoting their "Hasta ahora" track.

Caribbean Animal Welfare Conference to Santo Domingo
The Caribbean Animal Welfare Conference will be held in Santo Domingo from 21-25 April 2008. The three-day training conference brings together Caribbean animal welfare groups, government officials and others working on animal issues in the Caribbean. Some topics that will be discussed include animal welfare education, disaster management, marine wildlife protection, how to run a more effective animal protection organization, and more topics to be added. VII World Confepaso Cup
The Dominican Republic will host the 2008 Youth World Confepaso Cup bringing together the best in paso horse riders. The event is scheduled for July 2008. A specific date was not given and will be reported when available.
